Laser Vaginal Bleaching
Changes the colour of your intimate area and removes unwanted darkness. Laser vaginal bleaching aims to permanently remove dark coloured tissues in the vaginal area or even in the perineum. Such colouring may be genetic or a result of hormonal changes, age or childbirth. The procedure takes place with a special laser on three or more occasions depending on the individual. The laser removes the melanin layer. Each session takes about 10-15 minutes and is performed using local anaesthesia.
Perineoplasty
This is the cosmetic reconstruction of the perineum area. In certain cases and during a natural childbirth procedure, an episiotomy may be performed to allow the delivery of the infant. This procedure may destroy or alter a significant portion of tissue often resulting to problems related to the natural function of the area. Typically there may be relaxation of the perineum muscles, increasing the diameter of the vagina and even urine incontinence. Furthermore, the skin in the vaginal area may loose its firmness and the region may become too “flexible” and as result sexual intercourse is not the same as before.
Hymenoplasty
This procedure restores the hymen, by realigning the tissues of the hymen. In girls and young women who have not yet begun their sexual activity this membrane is intact. However, there are situations which may lead to accidental hymen breaking, during physical activity such as sports, horse riding etc. The hymen may also break as a result of a severe fall or injury or even as a result of masturbation. Furthermore, in certain cultures and religions, it is expected from a young woman to have the hymen intact and as a result the broken hymen may cause severe inconvenience to her.
Urinary Incontinence
Urinary stress incontinence simply refers to the loss of bladder control and is far more common than assumed. Depending on the severity this may cause a number of hygienic problems as well as day-to-day social issues. It can manifest in women of any age and can be attributed to a number of pathological conditions and other causes. This condition sadly has a direct link to psychology, femininity and sexuality and can ultimately lead to behavioural changes. There are three categories, stress, urgency and mixed incontinence. The management of this condition is continuously evolving. Each patient is individually assessed and the appropriate treatment modality is applied. Urinary stress incontinence in its early stages refers to the condition where you suffer from involuntary loss of bladder control when you laugh, cough, sneeze, lift weights, climb stairs or even during sexual intercourse. To this type of incontinence, we apply a non-invasive approach and by using medical laser we can achieve a significant reduction of stress urinary incontinence and prevent its deterioration. Depending on the type of stress incontinence, you may be offered medical therapy or even surgical correction.
Fillers
Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the human body. It is a hydrophilic substance and performs its most important operation when processing and maintaining water levels of the skin’s hydration. In advanced ages, the available quantity of hyaluronic acid is reduced and symptoms such as a noticeable increase in wrinkles appearing or loss of muscle volume may present themselves. As a result it is the most popular injectable supplement available and is aimed at mitigating age related effects on the skin. It is very safe and is used to drastically reduce creasing scars and relaxed skin areas. It works by “filling in” parts of the skin. It is used for labia Majora enhancement, urinary stress incontinence and also for G-spot amplification.
Botulinum Toxin injectables for Dyspareunia
The cosmetic form of botulinum toxin, is a popular non-surgical injection that temporary reduces or eliminates wrinkles. It has been used for over 15 years to treat many medical conditions mainly neurological. It has also been used to treat excessive sweating. In gynaecology, it is now being used to treat dyspareunia. Dyspareunia is painful sexual intercourse due to medical or psychological causes. The pain can primarily be on the external surface of the genitalia, or deeper in the pelvis, upon deep pressure against the cervix. It can affect a small portion of the vulva or vagina or be felt all over the surface.
Lichen Sclerosus
Lichen Sclerosus is a chronic progressive inflammatory autoimmune disease that results in white and dry patches on the skin of the external genito-anal region, It causes itching, burning and irritation with bleeding, blistering, ulceration and painful intercourse. If it is untreated and persists it can cause cancer of the vulva in 3-5% of cases.
It has been shown recently that PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) can significantly improve this condition and thus prevent the lesions from turning malignant. In the evaluation of each patient a biopsy is necessary before any therapy can be undertaken.
